Checked out STA under Miao Juan’s recommendation as it has pretty good offers for student-fare tickets. Rather user-friendly, it offers quite a number of services such as application for the International Student Identity Card and purchasing of Eurail Passes.

Prices from SGD1580. Now the website is not too useful, cos’ the only details are

• Prices - I assume it’s for one person, not inclusive of taxes, surcharges, reservation fees

Just a couple of details about our Pharmacy exchange in Holland.

We’ll be having a 4 weeks community pharmacy attachment at the Kring-Apotheek Wilhelmina in Utrecht (Apotheek – Pharmacy) this 30th June to 25th July, and Mrs Tijoe, the owner of the pharmacy, will be hosting us at her home.

It’s a 3 day workweek for us, so we’ll be spending the rest of the week travelling around Holland! =)

We are planning to leave on the 26th of June; that’s one week after our hospital preceptorship - time enough to finish up our reports and whatnots I hope – and leaving Amsterdam for Singapore on 7th of August. So we’ve about 1+week to travel outside of Holland (perhaps Belgium and Germany as they are the countries in closest proximity) before Year 4 starts in August.

After months of waiting, we’ve finally received great news on our IPSF SEP to Holland, and it’s time to start planning our roadtrip! =)

We: she’s Jing Wen, and I’m Xue Fen – are 2 crazy girls from Pharmacy, Year 3 this year!

Something like that.

But anyway; just in case you were wondering about the origins of the travelog title – meisje, Holland, en me, well, if the online language translator is accurate, it essentially means: girlfriend, Holland and me - in Dutch, of course!

Okay at least that is what we think, at the expense of having this blog title sounding like some XXX site – note: I mean title; you never know how these translator sites work yea.
